Hold water, protect soil
Dry summers, heavy rain on parched soils and falling groundwater levels put farms and forests under pressure. JUMBO BLOCK stores rainwater when it is plentiful and releases it when it is needed.

Agriculture
Supply security for the farm
Rainwater instead of groundwater: storing precipitation protects the water table and lowers water costs. The modular design adapts to the farm and is quick to install. Environmentally friendly joint sealants, clay seals or special liners are available for sealing.
- Subsurface drip irrigation directly into the root zone
- IoT sensors for soil moisture and demand-driven irrigation
- Less wind and water erosion, protection of fertile topsoil
- Savings on water costs, drainage charges and sealing levies

Forestry
Strengthening forests against drought stress
In forest areas, JUMBO BLOCK retains rainwater, stores it for dry periods and releases it through permeable soil layers. This increases soil moisture, supports deep root growth and reduces flash floods in lower-lying areas.
- Erosion control on slopes
- Water reserve for plantings and stands during droughts
- Fire-water reserve for forest-fire preparedness
- Readings on water level and environmental conditions via IoT sensors

Planning
Tailored to the site
For an installation to deliver its full benefit, it is matched to the rainfall, soil, terrain and demand of the specific site. The Engineering Suite provides an initial sizing; we are happy to discuss the details.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much water does one JUMBO BLOCK store for irrigation?
Around 13,900 litres per module. Several modules form a continuous store of the required size.
Does the water stay clean in the store?
In the cool, dark underground, algae growth is inhibited. Depending on use, sedimentation or filtration can be installed upstream.
Does JUMBO BLOCK help against erosion?
Yes. The system captures heavy rain before it runs off the surface, reducing topsoil loss – especially on slopes.
