JUMBO BLOCK module

JUMBO BLOCK module

The heart of the system and the load-bearing structure of the installation. Two frames and four beams form a walk-in cube that is installed underground and forms the backbone of a modular, scalable storage.

Outer dimensions (L × W × H)2.5 m × 2.5 m × 2.5 m
Clear width (L × W)2.0 m × 2.0 m
Storage volume (net)13.9 m³
Storage per m² of footprintapprox. 2,224 l per m² of footprint
Dead weight (dry)approx. 4.2 t
Concrete strength classC40/50 (standard); up to C80/95 for bunkers and protective structures
Load capacityTraffic load to EN 1991-2, load model LM1

Guide price: approx. €3,598 per module (non-binding, net, ex works, excl. installation)

Module with floor, wall and cover plates

Floor, cover and wall plates

  • Cover plate: load-bearing surface above the modules for roads, airfield and industrial areas; distributes loads and prevents evaporation losses.
  • Wall plate: closes the installation laterally, prevents lateral water movement and stabilises the overall structure.
  • Floor plate: level, load-bearing foundation that distributes the weight evenly into the subsoil. Alternatively cast-in-place concrete or – for infiltration – strip foundations.
Floor, cover and wall plates2.49 m × 2.49 m
Plate thickness12–30 cm (depending on load)
Concrete strength classC40/50 (standard); up to C80/95 for bunkers and protective structures

Guide price: from approx. €680 per plate (non-binding, net, ex works, excl. installation)

Sealing & coating

SABA systems for JUMBO BLOCK

Developed together with SABA, a manufacturer with over 85 years of experience in adhesives and sealants, the sealing systems are matched to the concrete modules: permanently elastic, solvent-free and suitable for water and wastewater applications.

  • SABA Ecoseal Bio HM

    SABA Ecoseal Bio HM

1-component sealant · water and wastewater from pH 5.0

Mechanically and microbiologically resistant, permanently elastic, very low-emission, solvent-free and free of hazard labelling. MS-polymer based, for joints in precast elements, basins and wastewater systems – including drinking water.

  • SABA Ecoseal AC

    SABA Ecoseal AC

    1-component sealant · acid-resistant below pH 4.5

Acid-resistant and permanently elastic for joints and overlaps in acidic, microbiologically contaminated environments such as manure and biogas plants. Guide price approx. €6.42 per linear metre (incl. primer).

  • SABA Primer 9002

    SABA Primer 9002

    1-component bonding primer, transparent

For durable bonding of SABA sealants to concrete and metal; suitable for Ecoseal Bio HM and Ecoseal AC. Isocyanate-free, short drying time, complies with EN 14188-4.

  • SABA Sealer MB-T

    SABA Sealer MB-T

    2-component polysulphide sealant

Highly chemical-resistant for expansion joints in facilities handling water-polluting substances and in trafficked areas such as roads, car parks and airports. CE to EN 14188-2 and EN 15651-4, German approval Z-74.6-155 (DIBt). In WHG facilities only by certified specialist contractors.

  • SABA Primer H17

    SABA Primer H17

    2-component primer for concrete

Bonding primer for porous substrates for polysulphide sealants and coatings. Isocyanate-free, resistant to moisture, solvents, acids and alkalis, complies with EN 14188-4.

  • SABA Flexcoat K

    SABA Flexcoat K

    2-component protective coating for concrete

Semi-elastic, chemical- and abrasion-resistant epoxy-polysulphide coating with crack-bridging properties. For separators, tanks and water treatment; complies with DIN EN 858-1 and DIN EN 1825-1.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a JUMBO BLOCK module cost?

As a non-binding guide approx. €3,598 per module net ex works, excluding installation; floor, cover and wall plates from approx. €680 per plate. Project-specific prices on request.

How are JUMBO BLOCK installations sealed?

With SABA EcoSeal: wall plates are bonded and joints sealed watertight with it; for stormwater retention the joints of the internal block structure are sealed too. SABA Ecoseal AC is available for acidic media.

Which plate thicknesses are available?

Floor, cover and wall plates start at 12 cm and go up to around 30 cm depending on load.
