Concrete Against Heavy Rain. Software for Emergencies.

From now on, a single page shows what JUMBO BLOCK is and can do: jumboblock.org/info – in German and English.
Heavy rain is no longer the exception. Sewers, streams and streets were built for the climate of past centuries, and today's rainfall no longer fits into them. Anyone who wants to protect land, buildings and infrastructure has to store water – safely, permanently and where no additional space is used.
That is exactly what JUMBO BLOCK is for. But how do you explain, in a few minutes, a system that consists of reinforced concrete and software at the same time? Our answer is the new information page.
Two worlds, one system
The page connects both sides of JUMBO BLOCK: the reinforced-concrete storage and the digital platform with which it is planned, operated and secured.
The module. An open reinforced-concrete cube with an edge length of 2.5 m, formed from two frames and four connecting beams. Each module stores 13.9 m³, is walk-in with a room height of 2.5 m and a clear width of 2.0 m, and is designed for traffic loads to load model 1 (EN 1991-2). The modules are each rotated by 90° and thus act as a load-bearing assembly – beneath streets, squares, buildings, fields and forests.
The storage calculator. Set the volume and immediately see how many modules are needed and how the installation grows in plan – from a commercial yard to a data centre.
The Engineering Suite. The continuous calculation chain Hydro, Plan, Design, Static, Temp and Budget: from storage verification to DWA-A 117 with KOSTRA-DWD-2020 to the 3D model with CAD export as IFC, DXF and STEP AP242. Plus a complete office package – all in the browser, offline-capable and bilingual.
KRITIS · NIS-2 · CRA. Tools for emergencies: crisis log, reporting obligations, checksums, certificates, encryption, device register and the bootable rescue stick JUMBO BLOCK Rescue.
The live dashboard with IOTA. Sensors report the fill level and condition of the installation. The integrity proof of every measured value is anchored in the IOTA mainnet and remains verifiable by anyone.
Protected technology. Three protection rights registered with the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (DPMA) – from the civil-engineering flood-water collection system and today's module including its hybrid concrete mix to the NIS-2-compliant IT system for secured sensor data processing.
For everyone who wants to make water manageable
The page is aimed at municipalities, planning offices, investors, data centres and utilities – and at anyone who wants to understand in a few minutes why underground retention is the answer to heavy rain.
- Bilingual: one click on DE or EN switches the whole page. Anyone coming from the English Engineering Suite lands directly on the English version.
- To try out: the storage calculator provides a first estimate. Hydro then produces the robust verification, and Plan designs the installation.
- To pass on: the page is our business card for conversations with partners, authorities and planners. A link is all it takes.
- Light or dark: the display can be switched and otherwise follows the device setting – pleasant to read for everyone.
Verifiable – from the very first number
Since the project started in 2021, JUMBO BLOCK has followed one principle: we claim nothing that cannot be publicly substantiated. This applies to every number on the new page – from the data sheet and the protection rights to the anchor in the IOTA mainnet.
The next heavy rain is sure to come. See how we are prepared for it:
